Gulfstream going to be dominant feature in Newport Bermuda race

The 2010 edition of the Newport Bermuda race is going to be a tough one for the navigators. With light winds forecasted and the gulfstream being wider then usual with both a warm eddy to the North and a cold eddy south being on the rumbline.

With currents aproaching 5 knots at places it is going to be essential to ride the complex eddies succesfully in this Newport Bermuda race.
